Villains Snatched Gold Necklace

Two thieves tried to snatched a gold necklace from an elderly man but he fought back and grabbed the necklace which snapped leaving the thieves with only half of it. It’s believed they committed the crime to pay for football gambling debts.

SATTAHIP – June 19, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News];- at 14.00 pm. Pol.Capt.Saijai Khumjulla-investigation inspector of Sattahip police station- was notified that a gold necklace had been snatched off a victim by 2 thieves near the beginning of Soi Sattahip Sukhumwit 81 (Jamjuree) road. After notification the police officers rushed to the scene.

 

At the scene they found 2,Lt.Rungsak Arunpruek 61 year old ex-soldier who had half of a 4 baht gold necklace in his hand. Upon questioning him he told the police that he was buying durian when 2 men rode slowly past him, they were dressed in black and was wearing full face crash helmets. Not long after they rode past and tried to snatch his necklace and missed so the passenger jumped off and tried to grab it again but the victim grabbed it and it snapped in half. He also added that he adored the necklace because it took him a life time to pay for it.

 

Pol.Capt.Saijai said that he had ordered the officers to hunt for the thieves .Initially they took 2,Lt.Rungsak to police station in order to record the incident. It’s believed that there are now a lot thieves committing this type of crime to pay for their football gambling debts during the world cup.
