Vendor Tricked With Fake 1,000 THB

A black male used a fake 1,000 THB banknote to buy Thai style sausage from a male vendor. He gave him 900 THB change then later noticed that the note was fake.

PATTAYA – July 22,2015 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 12.10 a.m., journalists reported that Mr. Rangsan Phromphiban, aged 47, who sells Thai style sausage and grilled squid notified Pol.Lt. Nakhonrat Nonsilad (Inquiry official of Pattaya city police station, Chon Buri province) that he had been cheated by a black man who used a fake 1,000 THB banknote. The incident occurred near Soi 6, Pattaya beach road.


Mr. Rangsan said that a tall thin black man walked up to him and ordered 100 THB worth of sausage. Once it was ready he handed him a 1,000 THB which was doubled over. Mr. Rangsan then gave him 900 THB change and the black man quickly rode off on his motorbike. Mr. Rangsan then opened up the note and found it was a fake toy note so he notified the police.

Mr. Rangsan asked the police to arrest the man as soon as possible in order to prevent him from doing the same to other vendors.
