PATTAYA – September 19, 2012 [Pattaya Daily News]: an automobile break-in was reported to Pol. Lt. Col. Attharot Krongrart, detective inspector, Pattaya police sation, sub-branch Dong Tarl, Chonburi.

The theft occurred in the parking area of the Tesco Lotus mall in South Pattaya Moo 12, Tambon Nong Prue, Banglamung, Chonburi.

A police team went to check the scene, and found a pastel-white Mercedes Benz C180, registration code 6392 Bangkok. The car’s left rear window was broken, and pieces of broken glass were scattered on the car floor. After checking the belongings, the owner reported an iPad and 5,000 baht cash was missing.

The car owner was identified as Mrs. Sampan Tangorn, age 51, living at 410/5 Moo 12 Nong Prue, Banglamung, Chonburi. Waiting with her to testify was her son and daughter.

Mrs. Sampan told police that she had her own business as a grocery store owner in Jomtien Beach. Earlier, she had picked up her son from school, and the family then came to Tesco to go shopping together.

They had parked their car in the lot at 5 p.m. and were shopping for about 30 minutes. Mrs. Sampan then told her kids to take the stuff they bought to keep in their car.

But then her children discovered the break-in, and went back to tell her that the car was vandalized. Mrs. Sampan then went to check and saw the damage, and called the police.

After questioning her and checking the scene thoroughly, police found that there was no CCTV to monitor the parking lot to identify the criminal.

The police made notes in the daily record for evidence. They told the victims to contact the sub police station at Dong Tarl for updates on the police investigation to catch the criminals.
