Pawatchai Sudsakhon (Deputy Superintendent), Pol.Lt.Col. Niphon Pomsanarm (Deputy Superintendent) and a detective police team together arrested Mr. Pheeraphong or Ob Sae-ueng, aged 19, with the allegations of snatching property by using vehicles to commit the offences. He was arrested with a white Honda Wave 125 I motorbike, license no. Ngor Jor Khor – 74 Chon Buri, 6 helmets, 1 gold necklace, 1 ring and 1 gold Buddha image. Besides, the police had already asked for an arrest warrant from the Pattaya provincial court to arrest Mr. Phanuwat or Pee Anthiros, aged 18, who was always escaping.

Pol.Lt.Col. Pawatchai Sudsakhon (Deputy Superintendent) revealed that over a month ago, over 20 victims in Amphur Sattahip had their property snatched to which most of them were young women and elderly people victims. This snatching gang used 2 motorbikes and the 1st motorbike would ride to cut in front of the victim’s motorbike so that the victim had to slow down his/her motorbike then the 2nd motorbike would ride alongside and yank his/her necklace or handbag. Therefore, the police had inspected the CCTVs to look for clues to identify the gang. They then arrested a Mr. Ob (the head of gang) at his house in Tambon Nong Prue, Amphur Banglamung, Chon Buri province but Mr. Pee had wised up and had already escaped. Moreover, there were another 3 offenders that were involved in the gang but the police wouldn’t disclose their information.

Pol.Lt.Col. Pawatchai continued to say that previously Mr. Ob used to committed over 20 offences in the Nong Kharm area and was imprisoned at the juvenile detention centre and had been released from jail in May 2014 but started snatching again. Mr. Ob claimed that the police were unskilful so he wanted to test Sattahip police skills. During the past 7 months, Mr. Ob had committed snatching offences several times and would change the colour of his motorbike and helmet every time he committed the offences because the visor would conceal his face but was finally arrested by Sattahip police.
