Ukrainian Shoplifter Arrested

Nong Prue police have arrested a Ukrainian shoplifter after he was caught shoplifting on the CCTV of a mini Big C department store.

PATTAYA – October 19th 2015 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 11.30 a.m., Pol.Lt.Col. Pheeraphat Sornbootdee (Deputy Superintendent of Nong Prue police station) and Pol.Capt. Watchira Sukkul (Deputy Suppression Superintendent of Nong Prue police station) and Pol.Sen.Sgt.Maj. Chatchai Rakkwamchob (Head of Khao Ta Lo sentry box) together arrested Mr. Slava Ocnach, from Ukrain after he stole cosmetics from a Mini Big C convenience store, Moo 10 Tambon Nong Prue, Amphur Banglamung, Chon Buri. He was caught with 3 stolen items and some marijuana.

Miss Tattiya Phaenmahiphong (Employee ) told the police that at 4.30 p.m. on October 18, 2015 the foreign man came into the store and acted suspiciously so she took photos of his motorbike. The man then bought an ice cream and walked out so she checked the CCTV cameras which revealed that the man had stolen many items valued at around 2,547 THB so she called the police.

 

Pol.Lt.Col. Pheeraphat Sornbootdee revealed that the motorbike owner was a Miss Sasima Janda who had lent it to Mr. EVgenii who had hired it out to Mr. Slava Ocnach. Therefore, the police went to the room of Mr. Slava Ocnach.

Upon searching in Mr. Slava Ocnach’s room then the police found only 3 stolen items and some dried marijuana in a bag. Mr. Slava Ocnach was then arrested and taken to Khao Ta Lo sentry box in order for the Mini Big C store employee to identify him before he was sent to Nong Prue police station for further prosecution according to the Thai law.
