Thieving housekeeper sought by Phuket police

Police are seeking information on a woman who, while 'working' as a housekeeper, has been stealing money and jewelry from unsuspecting tourists in small hotels across Patong.

Kathu Police say that more than ten complaints have been filed regarding the housekeeper and found that the woman applies for jobs without an identification or documents. The woman would tell hotel staff that she does not care how much she is paid and could bring her documents later.

Once the woman is hired, she would allegedly grab tourist’s belongings and escape, police said.The latest complaint came from Karlsson’s Hotel in Patong, as she is alleged to have stolen cash and a mobile phone before leaving the premises.
 
After looking at CCTV footage, police are urging the pubic to help them catch her and described the woman as 155cm tall, heavyset, about 40-years-old and dark skin with shoulder length hair that is tied up.
