Thief Steals Child’s Lifetime Savings

Residents are not happy about a recent burglary that happened on May 18. A thief broke into a 10 year old's house and stole his lifetime savings of over 10,000 Baht.

AYUTTHYA – May 18, 2013 [Pattaya Daily News]; Police officers of Pranakonsriayutthya Police station were notified that there was a break in at a resident’s house. The latest break in took place at a 10 year-old’s house, where his piggy bank savings of over 10,000 Baht were stolen.

Mrs. Rachani Wangjaroen, age 36, the owner of the broken in house told the police that a burglar broke into their house. She believes that the burglar climbed the walls and forcefully opened the window to go into their house.

When police investigated the house, they saw traces of burglary around the house. It was identified that two piggy banks of the owner’s son were stolen, the piggy contained cash money of over 9,000 Baht.

Jeff (alias) or the 10 year-old boy said that he saved up his own money since primary 1. He is very sad with the incident because he wanted to buy his own computer with the money he had saved.

Police are now chasing the burglar and will now ask people around the area. Police will also try to find CCTV evidence.
