Teenager Shot Dead Whilst Riding Towards Pattaya

A teenager who was riding with a group of friends along the Sukhumvit road towards Pattaya was shot dead by a gunman in a Bronze Toyota Yaris in an unprovoked attack. The victim was hit 10 times and was killed instantly and the gunman fled in the direction of Pattaya

PATTAYA – June 29, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News]; Pol.Lt.Col. Pornchai Kingsawat (inquiry official of Na Jomtien police station) was notified that a male teenager had been shot dead on the side of the Sukhumvit road, km.161, in the area of Ban Suan curve, entrance route to Pattaya, Moo 3 Tambon Na Jomtien, Amphur Sattahip, Chonburi province, so he rushed to inspect the scene together with the rescuers of Sawang Rojjana Tharmma Satharn Sattahip Foundation.

 

At the incident the officers found the body of Mr Keng Ban-amphur (alias), aged 19, residing at house no. 73/1 Moo 8 Tambon Na Jomtien, Amphur Sattahip. He had been shot 2 twice in the chest, twice in his left arm, twice in his right arm, once in the stomach, and once in the ribs. He had been shot a total of 8 times. Next to the bod the officers found 2 cartridges size 9 mm and around 5 metres from his body was a white Honda Wave motorbike, license number Ngor Ror Khor-845 Chonburi, lying on its side. The rescuers sent the body for an autopsy at Sattahip hospital.

 

Mr A (alias), aged 16, revealed that he and his 4 friends had rode the their motorbikes from Sattahip market heading towards Ban Amphur market, Tambon Na Jomtien. On the way there was a gang of approximately 10 motorbikes riding along the road so Mr A and his friends joined them and rode along the Sukhumvit road together when a bronze Toyota Yaris car drove after the group at high speed and someone in the car started shooting and shot 10 times at the group. Mr Keng Ban-amphur (alias) was hit by the bullets and crashed to the ground and the shooter in the car fled in the direction of Pattaya city.

 

Pol.Lt.Col. Pornchai revealed that he assumed that the trouble maker might be annoyed with the group of motorbikes. Initially the police will inspect the CCTVs in the nearby area and sent the cartridges to be inspected at the Centre of Forensics 2, Chonburi province, in order to follow up and arrest the gunman to be prosecuted further according to the Thai law.
