Pattaya 13th May 2010 [Pattaya Daily News] At 9.30 am Police Lieutenant Captain Nitiphoom  a Banglamung Police Investigator was noticed by Mr. Sanit Nimad, the landlord at Prasopsuk Apartment  39/1 Moo 9, Railway Side Road, Soi Khaonoi, Norngpure, Banglamung, of a shooting that destroyed his property in an apartment by a man.

The man used his gun whilst trying to catch his ex girlfriend in order to res

train her in her room at the apartment.  The Officer along with the task force rushed to the scene to investigate.

On their arrival, they discovered Miss Oranit Khambang [24] a waitress at the Differ Pub locked in room 217 on the 2nd floor of a 3 storey building by the offender Mr. Itsarin Korkaew [27] from Surin, a former bathroom boy at the Sea Bar Pub.

The landlord told the officer that the offender used the gun to shoot through the glass beside the 2nd floor stair case. He had picked up the .32 bullet shell for police evidence.

The task force spread themselves out, surrounding the area in front and around the balcony of the 1st floor near the room. Mr Korkaew was conciliated by the officer to surrender, but he kept the door locked keeping the victim hostage.

After an hour of conciliation, the offender let the victim out on to the balcony, but continued to keep himself locked in the room. Eventually the sound of a single shot led the officer to storm the room whilst the victim was being rescued from the balcony. The body of the offender Mr. Korkaew was lying on the bed with a single wound to his chest. Beside him lay a magazine automatic .32 gun.

A Doctor was called and the body taken away for autopsy. Police found signs of a struggle in the room, a bottle of whiskey and a bullet shell. In addition to this was a document signed on the 26th April 2010, at the Baglamung Police Station stating that Mr. Korkaew was to stay away from Miss Khambang.

On questioning Miss. Khambang who was visibly upset and shaken, she explained that she had been in a relationship with the offender for 2 years whilst he worked at the Sea Bar Pub. During this time, she had been assaulted by him on several occasions when he was drunk and on Yabba, which resulted in them splitting up 2 months ago. How ever, Mr. Korkaew continued to follow and assault her until she reported him to the police on the 26th April 2010. He was warned to stay away from her and signed the document in agreement.

Mr. Korkaew did not keep his word, continuing to harass Miss Khambang. On this occasion, she refused to open her door which enraged him and thinking she had a man with her, shot at the glass before crashing through the door, detaining her at gun point and threatening to shoot her.

Miss Khambang continued by saying Mr. Korkaew became scared when the police arrived, finally releasing her onto the balcony before committing suicide.
