Security Levels Raised to Protect Pattaya City Hall

Pattaya City Hall tightens security in a bid to avoid a confrontation of the two different groups of protesters by having more security guards and 24 hours police team service.

Pattaya 12th May 2010 [Pattaya Daily News] In the Tahksin meeting room at the City Hall, Mr. Sanit Boonmachai, the Pattaya City members had raised a topic of the safety preparations for the different groups of people protesting in front of the city hall now.

Mr. Ittipol Khunplum, the City mayor revealed that every group of colored shirt protesters would be treated equally. The facilities services have been provided for them. More security officers have been allocated, working carefully and checking around the building in the City hall. [The Pattaya city hall has many buildings joined together with numerous departments, and building for parking].

With the present political crisis in the country, the security plans have to provide even better safety measures. They have 24 hours service guards with 2 shifts taking turns to protect the property, especially the area where the protesters have gathered together in front of the city hall entrance.

Besides, the City Hall security guards, they also have two different teams of 100 police officers to co-operate with them in making sure the Red Shirt protesters and the Multi color shirt protesters do not have a confrontation.
