YALA, 16 May 2014 (NNT)-SBPAC and Hajj Promotion Committee Office of Southern Border Provinces of Thailand have discussed ways to elevate the standard of the Hajj pilgrimage service to facilitate the travels of pilgrims.

At the Operation Room of the Southern Border Provinces Administration Center, Mr.Weduramae Mamingji, Chairman of the Hajj Promotion Committee Office of Southern Border Provinces of Thailand, held a meeting to discuss improvements to Hajj pilgrimage arrangements.

Mr.Weduramae Mamingji said that the meeting was held to urge entrepreneurs who are involved with the Hajj pilgrimage to elevate their service to offer everything to assist those pilgrims in southern Thailand who want to undertake the pilgrimage.

In the meeting, a report on the willingness of people who have been to the hajj, to help local officials solve problems and develop the southernmost provinces was noted. The returning pilgrims can help pacify the area, especially through dissemination of the Islamic doctrine that calls for peaceful co-existence.

With the joint Islamic Committees in five southern provinces of Thailand, the meeting will seek a quota from the Saudi Arabian government and financial assistance from the Thai government. The meeting also discussed measures to appoint qualified persons to apply for assistance to perform the Hajj in Saudi Arabia. The meeting also mentioned replacing persons who give up their rights with other persons who want to go, to prevent subrogation and to avoid endangering the 2,000 seats quota from Saudi Arabia.
