Sattahip Opens New Culture Street

The new Sattahip Culture Street will be inaugurated on July 13, 2011 after the Buddist Lent Candle Casting Ceremony.

Sutthahip July 8, 2011(PDN) Mr Chaichan Eiemcharoen, Sattahip District Chief Officer and chairman of the conference for Sattahip Buddist Lent Candle Casting Processing 2011 and the inauguration of Sattahip Culture Street.

Mr Chaichan said on February 9, 2011 that the committe of “Synegy for the Beuatiful Sattahip in honour of HM the King’s 84th birthday” has chosen the Sattahip Municipality 11 road to be the new Sattahip Walking Street: from Nuad Pla Meuk junction to Beach Road, Sattahip Naval Base.

The street will be adorned with trees and flowers to highlight the beatiful, clean environment along the new Sattahip Culture Street streching from Sattahip Temple (Laungpor Ee Temple) to Bestkao Shop. The Walking Street and Culture Street will promote local culture and sell local products.
The new Culture Street will be inaugarated on Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at 18:00 hrs after the Buddist Lent Candle Casting Processing Ceremony. There after Culture Street will be open every Wednesday from 14:00 – 22:00.

People can bring their local products to sell on the Culture Street on the first Wednesday of the month and they can bring their organic vegetables to sell in front of the Sattahip agricultural office on the last Wednesday of each the month.

Interested persons can get more information at the district office and the Sattahip agricultural office.
