Sattahip Navy Holds Conference About Human Trafficking

Sattahip navy held a conference in order to discuss the human trafficking problems which has affected the alien labourer workforce. It was ordered by the NCPO to solve and put an end to the problem which has affected Thailand’s economy.

SATTAHIP – July 18, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News];- RADM.Tee Ouppanisakorn-chief of staff of Sattahip navy base- chaired a conference between the public sectors and Sattahip operators in order to discuss solutions for alien workforce and human trafficking. 20 institutions had attended the conference.

 

Capt.Komphan Ouppalanon-director of the news department of Sattahip navy said that they held the conference so that they could solve human trafficking and alien workforce problems in Sattahip as ordered by the NCPO. They had a lecturer form the Chonburi department of employment who said that they have recently set up a one stop registration service for alien labourers which made registration very quick and easy.

In addition each side had shared opinions and discussed different solutions for the alien workforce who have problems with human trafficking. Also they had discussed this problem in Chong Samaesarn and Bang Saray.

 

RADM.Tee said that nowadays drugs, crime, robbery and social conflicts had increased especially human trafficking of alien labourers. These problems needed to be stopped as soon as possible. As a result of this the NCPO had ordered the public sectors to find out and clamp down these issues. Plus Thailand’s law had been following the same law for human trafficking set and used by the U.S.A. Also these issues had affected the country’s economy therefore they needed to ask for collaboration from every sector to put a stop to the human trafficking.
