Russian Credit Card Gang ArrestedTwo Russian men have been arrested after they had used counterfeited credit cards to buy luxury items in Pattaya. The police were tipped off by a Kasikorn bank.
PATTAYA – March 24,2015 [PattayaDailyNews]; At 13.00 pm Pol.Col.Pratchaya Prasansuk-deputy commander of Chonburi-, Pol.Col.Suktad Pumpoanmuang-superintendent of Pattaya police station-, Pol.Lt.ColCShitdecha Songhong-deputy superintendent of Na Jomtien police station, and police officers had arrested a Mr.Temur Rustamov aged 35 and Mr.Evgeny Titov aged 27 who were caught with 79 counterfeited electronics cards and credit cards, a laptop and a Skimmer machine.
Pol.Col.Pratchaya revealed that the police officers were notified by a kasikorn bank that the men had bought goods with counterfeited cards in Pattaya. Later the police were informed that the men had bought luxury goods in Central Festival Pattaya Beach and had also purchased flights to Dubai.
Upon questioning Mr.Temur he said that the counterfeited cards belonged to Mr.Evgeny who stayed in an apartment in South Pattaya. Later the police officers rushed to his apartment where he was caught with counterfeited cards, a Laptop and a Skimmer machine. They both confessed that they had brought the skimmer machine in Russia and used foreign accounts. It’s expected that the total damage was in excess of 1 million baht.
