Roof Collapse Caused InjuredRoof of restaurant in Ko Lan collapsed and the incident led to 2 injured. It’s expected that the cause of incident is nearby construction.
PATTAYA-24 August- [PattayaDailyNews]; at 14.00pm Pol Lt Col Thanyasak Jeeratkulchai, deputy chief of Pattaya police, was notified that roof of a restaurant, which located in Tawan beach Ko Lan, was collapsed. The police officers and administrative officers were sent to inspect the scene.
The officers rushed to Fu Long restaurant which located on 20×20 square meters and there were about 10 shops in the restaurant. Upon inspection 6 shops were damaged from the incident and 2 people were injured. Plus, one of injured was identified as Chinese tourist and Miss Dang Chuenarom 60-year-old vendor was injured too.
The officers were informed by eyewitnesses who were customers that they were in the restaurant, then they heard very loud sound before the roof collapsed.
In addition, the restaurant was built 20 years ago and Pattaya official ordered the operator to renovate in fear of collapse. The officers initially estimated that the cause of incident is construction of nearby hotel.
