In keeping with their structured corporate social responsibility programme, the company offered support by taking out a booth at the fair which offered games and prizes for children attending the event.

Raimon Land Chief Executive Officer, Nigel Cornick, said the fair was to be congratulated for placing importance on assisting children?s development with the money it raised.

?Even during these trying economic times, our corporate social responsibility efforts remain just as important to Raimon Land as they do to the charities we support and helping children learn to read will always remain a very worthy cause,? Mr Cornick said.

During the event on January 17, Mr. Cornick presented a cheque of THB200,000 to the organizing committee to be used by Sukhumvit Fair charities.

The American School of Bangkok Director, Khun Lakhana Tavadikul, said the fair?s charity committee would use the funds to support furnishing a library for under-privileged children with books and other learning and educational materials.
