Pattaya, 17 May 2011 [Pattaya Daily News]: At 2.00 a.m., while Police Major Suparuk Yoo-Prai was on his patrol duty on Central Pattaya Road, he noticed a suspicious motorcycle without a license plate.

The driver looked like a teenager and he had a girl in the passenger seat, an officer said.
According to the police, the teenage driver did not pull over when the officer called him in.
Instead he sped away into Soi Nern Plab Wan, an officer said.

The officials and other volunteer police chased the suspect to Pattaya Land & House village in Soi Ban Map Ta Toh, where he abandoned his motorcycle and ran into the forest with his passenger, the police reported adding that both suspects were later captured in the pursuit.

Upon questioning, the driver, Kit (a.k.a Alias), 16 said that he borrowed the motorbike from his friend named Oat to drive his girlfriend home.

However, the police later discovered that the owner of the motorbike had reported it stolen on Soi Bat Man, South Pattaya prior to this incident.

The suspects were detained for further investigation while his friend, Oat was also called in for questioning.

The police believed that both Kit and Oat could be members of a major motorcycle thief gang in Pattaya City
