Police Arrest Two Out Of Four Thieves

Chonburi and Banglamung Police captured two out of four thieves who were convicted of robbing a Korean tourist last month.

Pattaya, 2 June 2011 [Pattaya Daily News]: Pol. Lit. Gen. Tha-Ngai Prasajak Sattroo (The Commissioner of Region 2), Pol. Col. Gen. Theeraphol Jindaluang (Chonburi Deputy Commissioner) and Pol. Col. Somnuk Junket (Banglamung Police Superintendent) arrested two theft suspects, who were accused of robbing a Korean man at Crocodile farm on 13 May 2011 at 9.30pm.

Komson Tubtimtes, 19 of Nong Pla Lai and Benjaporn Boonkong, 27 of Naklua confessed to stealing a Toyota Vios car, one laptop, a set of golf clubs and over 4,000 Baht cash.
They also disclosed the other two gang members, Somboon Worawut 19 and Nok, 13 who escaped the arrest, an officer said.

According to the Pol. Lit. Gen Tha-Ngai Prasajak, the gang had planned out their robbery carefully in cooperation with the teenage girl, Nok who was an acquaintance of the Korean victim.
Based on their plan, Nok and Korean man drove to Shooting Shalamchon, where Nok pretended to feel nausea and requested the car to stop, General Tha-Ngai said.

As soon as the car was parked, three other gang accomplices, Benjaporn, Komson and Somboon rode to the scene and assaulted the Korean man before stealing his car and escaped quickly, General Tha-Ngai continued.

Banjporn said they changed the number plate of the stolen car and planned to sell it for 60,000 Baht.
The police will charge the two thefts while continue their search for two other convicts
