Pick-Up Truck Racing Teenager Collides With Electricity Pylon In Pattaya

A Pattaya teenager who was racing a car in his pick-up truck lost control and collided with an electricity pylon. He had to be cut free from his pick-up by rescuers after being trapped for over 30 minutes.

PATTAYA – August 31, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 3.00 a.m., Pol.Lt. Kwanchai Namkhanitsorn was notified that there was an accident involving a pick-up truck which had collided with an electricity post and a male driver was trapped inside. The incident occurred at route 7 section 5 in front of Charoen Dee Service Motor Vehicle Inspection Center, north Pattaya, Tambon Nong Prue, Amphur Banglamung, Chonburi province, so he rushed to the scene together with the rescuers of Sawang Boriboon Tharmma Satharn Foundation, Pattaya city.

 

At the incident the officers found a bronze-grey Isuzu Dmax pick up truck, license number 3982 Chonburi, that had crashed into an electricity post and a billboard severely damaging the pick-up. The driver identified as Mr. Arnon Wansuea, aged 23, was trapped inside for over 30 minutes until the rescuers could free him and he had only suffered some minor injuries.

Upon questioning Mr. Patipharn Jamsin, aged 17, who was an eyewitness he said that he saw that the pick-up truck and a car were racing at a very high speed until they arrived at the incident point where the car swerved to go up the slip road and the pick-up followed but lost control and collided with an electricity pylon.
