Pedestrian Killed in Hit and RunA Burmese man was killed in a hit and run on the Sukhumvit road. The car fled the scene but was later found by police.
PATTAYA – June 1,2015 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 1.30 a.m., Pol.Lt. Janda Dermphan (Inquiry official of Banglamung police station, Chon Buri province) was notified that a car had collided with a pedestrian killing him instantly before the car fled the scene. The incident occurred in front of a convenience store at the beginning of Soi 28 Sukhumvit Pattaya, so he rushed to the scene together with the rescue team of Sawang Boriboon Tharmma Satharn Rescue Foundation, Pattaya city.
At the scene the officers found the body of Mr. Ong Teng, aged 20, Burmese nationality. Upon inspecting the scene the police found parts from a black car such as a side mirror and a front bumper so they kept them for evidence.
Later, the patrollers of Banglamung police station found a car that had signs of being in a collision and its front bumper and side mirror were missing. The car was a black Nissan Teana car but the driver was nowhere to be seen.
Pol.Lt. Janda (Inquiry official who is responsible for this case) revealed that from inspecting the scene there weren’t any eyewitness to the accident. However, the police seized the car to be inspected further and to find the owner.
