Pattaya Wild Boar Guesses Football World Cup Results

Chonburi local people were amazed that a local wild boar had guessed the results of the first 4 games in the world cup. It would put a meat ball in a tray containing the team’s name which would win.

PATTAYA – June 17, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News]; journalist were informed by local people of Ban Sak Ngaew Chinese market, Moo 10 Tambon Huay Yai, Amphur Banglamung, Chonburi province, that there was a wild boar who could guess the results of the World Cup 2014. It had guessed 4 matches results already. Therefore, the journalist went to inspect the scene where they found a 1 year old female wild boar. It had been fed by local people of Ban Sak Ngaew Chinese market, and a cat which is a friend of the wild boar.

 

Miss Malee Buakaew, aged 48, the owner of a wild boar, told journalist that the boars name is “Samurai” and she had been feeding it since it was separated from its heard. The local people love the wild boar and its always being given food by them as they attend the market. Mr Phusit Ketmanee, aged 53, a Thai dessert vendor, said that the wild boar “Samurai” is lovely and clever even though she is wild and she likes to be pampered. Also customers would ask where she is if they didn’t see her. Some local people had an idea to let her guess the winners of the Football World Cup by writing down the names of each football team on pieces of papers which were then put into trays, they then let “Samurai” put a meat ball in the tray which she thought would win and had done this for the past 4 games and each time she guessed the winner.
