Pattaya Teenager Sets New Moon Walking World Record

A 16-year-old male teenager from Pattaya city has set a new moon walking world record of over 1 km. He started at Central Festival Pattaya Beach and moon walked to Walking Street.

PATTAYA – June 24, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 7.00 p.m., in front of King Seafood Walking Street, south Pattya, Ripley’s Believe It or Not Museum had arranged for the record of the most dumbfound statistic in the history with the moonwalk dancing for the farthest distance in Thailand of 1,200 meters which Ripley’s Believe It or Not Museum was challenged by Mr. Niwat Odthon, aged 16, who wanted to prove for his endurance.

Mr Niwat had imitated the moonwalker which was the personal dancing style of Michael Jackson by dancing from a starting point in front of Central Festival Pattaya Beach with a moonwalk along the road until the entrance of Walking Street, south Pattaya. There were a lot of Thai and foreign tourists who applauded the boy and they also took photographs of him. After Mr. Niwat danced to the finish line then he sang 3 Michael Jackson songs before receiving the Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Certificate from Mr. Somporn Naksuetrong (Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Ripley’s World Pattaya) who came to congratulate and admire the boy who made a new world record.

Mr Niwat Odthon, Pattaya resident, aged 16, revealed that he has been a fan of Michael Jackson and he had imitated him since he was 10 years old. He also said that he wanted to set the record to commemorate the day that Michael Jackson passed away so people wouldn’t forget.
