Sriracha, the 4th of February 2010 [Pattaya Daily News]: Chon-Buri Governor Mr. Senee Jitkasem along with a team of police from Pattaya, Sriracha and the surrounding areas announced that they had successfully gained a confession and completed a reconstruction with Mr. Yuenyaw. Mr. Yuenyaw is responsible for the death of Mrs. Viphaporn Jaila [23] and her daughter Tharin Jitsanguansuk [2] at a Bangphra fishing shop in Sriracha on the 18th of December 2009.

Following his recent arrest Mr. Yuenyaw was interrogated, where he admitted to murdering Mrs Jaila and her daughter, explaining that he committed the offence solely because of money troubles. He explained that on the morning of the incident he had gone to the fishing shop to kill Mrs Jaila and steal an amount of 20,000 baht, which he knew was located at the business. He further stated that he had not intended for the young girl to die, however; he was forced to assault her as she was crying loudly. After murdering the unsuspecting pair he stole the money and fled the scene going to work with the victim’s father and husband.

During the police reconstruction of events from the 18th of December, over 100 officers were present to contain the 200 strong crowd, who had gathered to witness and vent their anger towards the offender. Various attempts were made to assault and harm Mr. Yuenyaw with police having to surround him throughout the proceedings for fear of another murder.

Unfortunately Mr. Jitsanguan, the husband and father of the deceased had to be present at the scene and was seen to be extremely distraught and saddened by the betrayal and heinous crime committed by Mr. Yuenyaw. Prior to the death of his wife and daughter, Mr. Jitsanguan had considered Mr. Yuenyaw a good friend and colleague, working with him before, after and on the day of his families murder. The pair had also drunk together on several occasions at the fishing shop since the murder, with Mr. Yuenyaw also attempting to consol the still grieving Mr. Jitsanguan.

Following the reconstruction, Mr. Yuenyaw was escorted by a massive contingent of police back to the station where he will remain in custody until further judicial proceedings commence.
