Pattaya Police To Crack Down On Increasing Crime

Pattaya police are to intensify patrols and visual presence on the streets to try and reduce the ever increasing crime rate.

Pattaya – March 28,2015 [PattayaDailyNews]; at 00.10 am on the activity field at Big C, South Pattaya, Pol.Maj.Gen.Nitipong Niemnoi-commander- and officers chaired the opening ceremony of cracking down on crime. There was about 150 policemen from 3 police stations consisted of Bang Lamung police station, Pattaya police station and Nongprue police station.

Pol.Maj.Gen.Nitipong said that there had been too many robberies in Pattaya at it seems that they are on the increase; therefore, he intends to intensify police patrols in the local areas in order to prevent these crimes and to protect local people and foreigners. The officers will be checking suspicious vehicles in high risk areas and also suspicious looking people will be stopped and inspected before having their details taken down and photos taken. The officers will also be doing drug tests on everybody they stop or who looks suspicious.
