Pattaya Police Set Up Strict Checkpoint

Pattaya police had set up a strict checkpoint in Soi Kor Phai in order to return happiness to the people. The officers arrested 4 teenagers who failed a drug urine test and they were then sent to the police station.

PATTAYA – July 25, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News], at 5.00 a.m., Pol.Capt. Somchai Chaikhananukul (Deputy Inspector of Pattaya city police station, Chonburi province) mobilized police forces to set up a checkpoint in order to maintain peace and deter crimes half way down of Soi Kor Phai, south Pattaya, to inspect every passing vehicle.

 

The inspection was in operation from 12.00 a.m. – 5.00 a.m. During the operation the officers arrested 4 young men and women, aged between 25-30 who failed a drug urine test.. The police then confiscated their motorbikes.

Pol.Capt. Somchai said that the inspection was ordered by his commander to return happiness to Thai people by making sure the streets are safe. Therefore the inspection was set up in a problematic area but the police only managed to arrest 4 teenagers who failed drug tests and were then sent to the inquiry official to be prosecuted further according to the Thai law.
