Pattaya Pickpockets Busted

Pattaya police made the statement after arresting pickpockets.

PATTAYA – September 6,2016 [PattayaDailyNews]; at 19.00pm PO Col Apichai Krobpetch, chief of Pattaya police, and police officers made the statement about arrest pickpocket gang.


Previously, Mr Leport Michel Georges 63-year-old frenchman had been snatched 7,660 baht by a group of 5 Thai girls in the night of September 5. After that he notified the police officers who investigated until the gang was caught finally.


The suspects comprised of Mr Suthep Chotung 30-year-old, Mr Chanasorn Thamsiri 28-year-old, Miss Wilaiwan Boonchu 26-year-old, Miss Chanson Khantongdee 34-year-old and Mr Suppachai Chumpa 34-year-old.

Upon questioning suspects they all confessed that they work as a gang and they shared robbed items and money each other. Initially, they would have to be filed on a charge of robbery. Plus, some was caught on the same charge before.


In addition, Mr Emmie Sonchan 22-year-old Cambodian and Mr Winai Insawang 29-year-old were also caught after they had snatched a wallet of Mr Mohammed Alsinaidi on August 31.


The officers checked CCTV footage of the incident day, they found out that Mr Emmie and Mr Winai also snatched wallet of Mr Faisal Saleh from America.
