Pattaya Official Explicates Beach Replenishment ProjectPattaya official held conference to instruct operators and concern sectors about replenishment of Pattaya beach.
PATTAYA-2 November- [PattayaDailyNews]; Mr Chaicharn Eiumcharoen, deputy governor of Chonburi, chaired the conference about the project to replenish Pattaya Beach.
Mr Somchai Summanutkajornsakul, deputy director of marine department, said that the official held the conference in order to inform operator and concern sections how important of the project is. However, the official also receive feedback from any section. The main purpose of this project is to increase Pattaya beach area and reduce beach erosion.
Marine department has been given around 430 million baht for operating this project to replenish Pattaya beach along 2.8 kilometres. The official estimate this project and it is worth to do. Pattaya beach will have more 45 meters in shoreline after replenishment.
Pattaya official already kicked-off this project since September. The ships have brought sand from the sea near Ko Lang Kwien island to put along Pattaya beach. It’s expected that the project would be finished within March 2017.
