Pattaya Official Collects Orange Juice SamplePattaya officers went to inspect orange juice vendors in local market in order to collect some samples to test.
PATTAYA – May 24,2016 [PattayaDailyNews]; Buppha Singsakulchai, senior officer of sanitation department- and public health officers went to inspect 2 orange juice vendors in Grand Hall floating market in South Pattaya after a video of vendor producing fake orange juice was widely spread.
Suthira Timing 26-year-old orange juice vendor said that she sells orange drink that she buys from another vendor. She added that her sale has been affected after the video was posted and shared on social media.
Buppha said that the officers collected 6 samples of orange juice from Grand Hall and Bali Hai pier to test in lab. The officers performed the initial test, they didn’t find any dangerous substance. However, the samples should be sent to Department of Medical Science in order to determine whether it is real or fake. She added that there are 3 categories of orange juice 1. 100% 2. orange drink 3. orange drink which is made by mixing acetic acid with water and this category is dangerous.
In addition, the officers aim to summon the orange juice vendor to discuss about the issue and the officers would demonstrate how to produce clean juice and maintaining. The vendor would have to register with BangLamung public health officer so that they would be allowed to sell. The vendor who will not obey the strict rule would have to be prosecuted.
