Pattaya – On 15 February 2008, at 4am, Pattaya Police Inspector, Police Major Wittaya Yeunyong was informed that a motorbike taxi rider had been viciously attacked and robbed by his passenger. The victim was left at the crime scene, in Green Resident Village, Soi Jularat, Moo 6, Nongprue, Banglamung, Chonburi. Police Major Wittaya, along with his team, rushed to the scene.

At the scene, police found a very distressed Mr. Prayot Pa-ngahm (34), the victim. His nose and face were fractured and covered with blood. According to the victim, he was riding his motorbike from South Pattaya back to Soi Jularat, where his motorbike queue is located. On the way, a man who was about twenty years old, flagged him down and asked Mr. Prayot to bring him to the middle of Soi Jularat. During the trip, Mr. Prayot had to slow down as he was approaching the scene of an accident. At that point, the passenger pointed a gun at Mr. Prayot’s head and ordered him to stop the motorbike or he would shoot him. Mr. Prayot complied, immediately, and was ordered to get off the bike. The robber searched him for money and other valuables. The miscreant also pistol whipped Mr. Prayot on the face. The robber took Mr. Prayot’s necklace, which contained a few Buddha images and his wallet, which contained one hundred sixty baht. Then, the thief rode away on Mr. Prayot’s motorbike, stealing that as well.

The victim was unable to recall the license number of his red Honda Wave motorbike, as he had just bought it recently and it had a temporary red number plate.

Police assumed that the thief was a drug addict who was looking for money to buy drugs. They will vigorously search for this malefactor so they can bring him to justice.
