Pattaya Journalists And (DASTA) To Arrange Activity For Cyclists To Promote Pattaya

Pattaya Journalists Association and Designated Areas for Sustainable Tourism Administration (DASTA) had a meeting to arrange an activity for cyclists to help restore the crisis of Pattaya tourism on March 2, 2014. They will donate some portion of the revenue to underprivileged children in Pattaya city and Amphur Banglamung.

PATTAYA – Mr. Amphor Saengkaew (President of Pattaya Journalists Association) revealed that Pattaya Journalists Association joins with Designated Areas for Sustainable Tourism Administration (DASTA) are to arrange an activity to promote Pattaya tourism namely “Riding Bicycles to Restore Crisis & Resurrect Pattaya Tourism, No. 1” on National Journalists’ Day on March 5, 2014. This activity will open the new tourism route for cyclists in order to promote the eco tourism and healthfulness. The income generated (after deducting all expenses) will be donated to the underprivileged children in area of Pattaya city and Amphur Banglamung.

The activity will be held on Sunday March 2, 2014 at Mueang Nong Prue Municipality Health Park.The starting point will be at Mueang Nong Prue Municipality Health Park and the cyclists have to ride their bicycles along the route of Mueang Nong Prue Municipality – Mabprachan reservoir – Tambon Nong Pla Lai, Pong and Huay Yai Municipality then returned to the finish line at the starting point. The application fee is 300 THB for the general type with a distance of 46 km. and 1,000 THB for the VIP’s with a distance of 10 km.

The organizers of this activity expect that there will be over 1,000 local cyclists from various areas who will take part. The activity is to promote Pattaya tourism and to motivate the tourism market which will take place on the same day as the opening of the new tourism routes for cyclists.
