Pattaya Hospitals Prepared To Cope During New Year Festivities

Minister of Public Health inspected and checked the ability of Bang Lamung hospital to cope with the increase in accidents and incidents during the New Year celebrations.

PATTAYA- December 27, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News]; Prof.Dr.Ratchata Ratchatanawin, Minister of Public Health- and the committee went to inspect the emergency center of Bang Lamung hospital in order to prepare to cope with the anticipated increase in accidents during New Year from 31 December-4 January. People travel back to their homeland which causes a lot of vehicle and personal accidents.


Prof.Dr.Ratchata had ordered the hospitals located on the main route to prepare themselves to cope with the large number of accidents during New Year. People can request help from officials by contacting hotline 1669 for 24 hours. In addition people don’t have to pay medical costs according to Government Policy and officials have announced to increase the control of alcohol abuse during the festival.


Dr.Wutthikrai Saksurakarn said that the officials added more nurses to be on duty for 24 hours and every hospital prepared EMS car and equipment ready to cope with situations for 24 hours period. People can notify officials about accidents using. Emergency vehicles are on immediate standby to attend accident scenes within 10 minutes in order to reduce the rate of death as much as possible.
