On the shore, police found a fishing boat pulling a dead body to the beach. The body had no arms and no legs from the knee down. Indications were that the body was of a man of large stature. Police found no evidence to identify him.

The police questioned the boat owner, Mr. Rapeepat Sang-jan, [24], residing at 70, Moo. 7, Banglamung. He said he’d been out fishing with four friends when they spotted the body floating in the sea. They then decided to use a net to pull it back to the beach and report their find to the police.

Police will continue to investigate and search for more evidence. They said the deceased could be a foreigner or a Thai.

However, the body would be sent to the forensic laboratory to try and establish the identity and cause of death.
