Pattaya Drug Gang Arrested

Following a police chase, a drug agent was successfully caught with 190 pills of Ya-Ba and 9.5 gram of Ya- Ice before expanding the arrest to include his group at the residence.

Pattaya, 21st February 2011[Pattaya Daily News] At approximately 05.30 am, Capt. Thanasit Kaneluem, Pattaya Police Investigator led a police team in operating a sting operation with a drug agent at an old deserted building on Jomtien 2nd Road. Whilst awaiting the drug dealer, a black Mazda 2 drove up. The driver spotted police at the scene and promptly fled,with police in pusuit, ultimately arresting him successfully at the Central Pattaya fourth intersection on 2nd Road.

On searching the suspect’s car, the officer found no illegal items. Meanwhile, the suspect struggled and put fidgeted with his backside. The officer then examined him and found drugs including 190 pills of Ya-Ba and 9.5 gram of Ya- Ice fixed with clear adhesive tape and wrapped in tissue paper hidden in the suspect’s anus. The suspect was later identified as Mr. Raja Singh, alias “Bung Cha” (30) from Nongphrue, Banglamung,

Subsequently, the police team went to search Mr. Singh’s rented rooms at the Interlace apartment, Thepprasit Road, Moo12, Nongprue, Banglamung, rooms numbered C409 and C411. There,  Miss Renu (30), the suspect’s wife was sleeping in the C411 whilst Miss Phuttan Photisan (29) from Norngbualumphu province was sleeping at C409. In addition, both rooms were discovered to contain drug using equipment, which were collected as evidence. All suspects have been detained at the Pattaya Police Station. They confessed that they sold Ya-Ba and Ya-Ice to tourists and youths in Pattaya.

All suspects have been charged with possession of class 1 drugs (Ya-Ba and Ya-Ice) with intent to sell.
