Last July the Pattaya City hall received a document from Banglamung Land Office to conduct an inspection on the land of Koh Larn.

There were 4 cases in which 5 of the plots had not been affirmed on the boundary line by Pattaya City. Yet there were no opposition to the issue of the Title Deed. Pattaya City is requested to proceed on this matter and to finish it off within 30 days.

Chief Officer Mr. Sutham Phetget of Koh Larn disclosed that at present many residents of Koh Larn had submitted documents to the land office do a cadastral survey of the land in order to issue the Title Deed.

Base on the policy of the Ministry which forbids the issuance of Title Deeds for plot of land in the various islands throughout Thailand since 1996. But this group of residents had submitted their case prior to the announcement made by the Ministry.

It is therefore considered that any request or case of the residents endorsed prior to the implementation of the policy should be taken into consideration. Government authorities had proceeded with land survey total of 4 cases and 5 plots of land.

It is found that most of the land is on the plain and does not trespass public places. Some piece of land spread across mountain or hill area, which is a restricted according to the law governing the land. This matter has submitted to the Management for signatory approval.

Mayor Niran Wattanasartsathorn said that he had checked the Title Deeds belonging to the resident from previous ownership and he gave instruction that the land be measured. To find out if that land area are not violating the law or trespassing the public places of Pattaya City. Then, he will sign his name in agreement for the Title Deed. In fact, he has already signed in approval for 2 plots of lands earlier.

At the same times it is found that some of the land spread across the mountain and hill and is more than 35 degree sloping, by this his not favorable and will not sign in approval for the issue of Title Deed. Lands at the foot of the hill are restricted by law and have to be within the boundary of 40 meters.
