PATTAYA – April 20, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 10.00 a.m. the rescuers of Sawang Boriboon Tharmma Satharn Foundation Pattaya city were notified by local people that the foreign tourist had jumped off the 2nd floor of the building at Silver Sand Villa, Moo 10 Tambon Nong Prue, Chonburi Province, to commit suicide but survived and was severely injured, so the rescuers team rushed to inspect at scene together with the police of Pattaya city police station.

At the incident in front of Silver Sand Villa hotel, the officers found Mr. Haran Binsonharad, aged 52, Norwegian nationality; he was lying on the flood in a pool of blood and was severely injured. He had suffered broken arms and legs. The rescuers performed emergency first before they sent him to Bangkok-Pattaya hospital.

Upon questioning the hotel clerk, he told police that Mr. Haran had been staying in room no. 1221 on the 2nd floor since April 9th 2014 and he was due to check out on April 29th 2014. He stayed alone and he often went out at night and very rarely spoke to anyone. He also told his foreign friends who had already gone back to their home country that he felt like somebody was following him and wanted to kill him which scared him so he didn’t go out anywhere anymore and the police assumed that this might be the cause of Mr. Haran trying to commit suicide.

Initially, the police had questioned the bystanders and inspected in Mr. Haran’s hotel room to see whether there were any documents or narcotics to try and find the real cause for his suicide attempt.
