Net Surfers Suggest Online Fine Payment Instead of Paying The PoliceAccording to illicit police checkpoints some police have used their authority to earn extra money by fining drivers who pass their checkpoints. MThai news fans have surveyed the problem on the net and how to correct it.
Most people who are stopped by the police are fined even though they haven’t broken the law, so online forums have been discussing ways of payment for those who have broken the law. Some suggestions that have been put forward are paying the fine via an ATM or even at a mini mart rather than having to go to the police station which can be a big inconvenience with some peoples work commitments.
They have also suggested that drivers should have points on their licence for each driving offence and once they get to the maximum amount of points they should be banned from driving like they do in England. Lots of online surfers have also suggested that at each police checkpoint CCTV should be installed to record each driving offence as proof so when the offender pays the fine online the case can easily be identified and the fine goes to the correct place and not the police man’s wallets.
However a member commented that some people have bribed the police rather than going to the police station because it was easier to do that rather than having to drive or ride to the police station which in some cases can be quite a distance.
