Motorbike Gang Throw 3 Bombs at Victim’s House

A gang of teenage motor bike punks threw 3 bombs at a man’s house after he caught them stealing his coconuts. Luckily only one bomb went off and nobody was injured.

SRIRACHA – June 16,2015 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 3.00 p.m., NCPO military of Amphur SriRacha had received complaints from Mr. Apichai Benkhan, aged 40, who was a vendor in Si Racha Municipality market that a gang of motorbike punks had come to his house to steal his coconuts before they threw 3 bombs into his house. Luckily only 1 exploded.


At the scene Pol.Capt. Anek Khruea-khuean-phet (Deputy Inspector of Chon Buri Provincial Police Station) who was an EOD officer found that the bombs were handmade; they were made from gun powder, rocks, and were tied together with black adhesive tape. They had a range of around 15 metres and could easily kill somebody.

Mr. Apichai Benkhan ( victim) revealed that at approximately at 2 a.m. on June 15th there was a group of male teenagers, aged approximately 12-25, riding 4-5 motorbikes came to his house to steal his coconuts. Mr. Apichai then grabbed a knife and told them to leave but a few moments later they came back with more teenagers who then threw 3 bombs at his house but luckily only 1 of them had exploded. Mr. Apichai also knew that this motorbike gang were always assaulting Burmese workers that stayed nearby but everyone was too scared to contact the police. Therefore, Mr. Apichai would like the police to arrest the gang and prosecute them according to the Thai law as soon as possible.
