Moroccan Bank Hacker Arrested in Bangkok

A Moroccan transnational criminal who hacked a banks data base in Switzerland and stole around 600 million THB was arrested in Bangkok.

Bangkok-May 2- at 17.00 pm. Pol.Lt.Gen.Phanu Kerdlabphol- commissioner of immigration police- had made a statement that they had arrested a Mr Mohammed Yaseen Garib aged 26 Moroccan who is transnational criminal and Ms.Amornrat Hongklad-his Thais girlfriend- in the lobby of a hotel in Sam Sen district. Pol Lt.Gen.Phanu revealed that he and his team (about 10 men) had hacked the data base of the Bank of Switzerland and transferred the customer money to his account which was estimated around 600 million baht. The gang then split up and Mr Mohammed and a friend had fled to Thailand to hide and have been here for 4 years. Thai police and DSI (Department of Special Investigation) had investigated him and arrested him in a hotel in Bangkok after he went back to collect his passport.

The Commissioner of immigration police said that the suspect had always stayed in the luxury hotel in Bangkok and Pattaya and he had met Ms.Amornrat and they had lived together for 2 years. Ms.Amornrat is pregnant and she will give the birth in next week. She revealed that she knew her boyfriend was a transnational criminal after he told her. They had concealed themselves among the protester in Bangkok. They stayed in Rachadamnern road and moved to Lumpini park. Unfortunately, he forgot his passport and he went back to get it and was arrested.
