PATTAYA – February 2,2015 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 07.45 am Pol.Lt.Atsawin Chanso-inspector of Bang Lamung police station- was notified that there was a shooting in a room in Kanjanat Apartment. After notification, the police officers, doctor team and rescue team immediately rushed to the crime scene.

At the crime scene, a 2 floor apartment, officers found out that the door was locked so they had to break the door down. They found 2 bodies , both with gunshot wounds and a shotgun on the bed. One was shot in the forehead and she was identified as Ms.Waramporn Chantapan aged 38. Plus the officers found a modified shotgun and 2 bullets on the ground.

Upon questioning Ms.Wantana Sornsomnuk aged 33 who was Ms.Waramporn’s friend said that Ms.Waramporn was a dental assistant in a dentist while Mr.Surachai who was her boyfriend, worked at Royal Cliff Beach Resort Pattaya. Before the incident, Ms.Waramporn called her to say her boyfriend was pointing a gun at her insisting on a reconciliation. She immediately rushed to the scene and she heard that they were arguing loudly but she couldn’t get inside because the door was locked before she heard two gun shots. It’s expected that Ms.Waramporn realized that Mr.Surachai had another wife and son so she broke up with him but Mr.Surachai didn’t want to break up with her.

Po.Col.Trairong Piewpan-deputy commander of Chonburi- revealed that the officers had questioned the witnesses and they revealed that he met his girlfriend in the room to discuss the situation with her. Later they couldn’t agree with each other before he shot her and then turned the gun on himself committing suicide. Initially, the officers took the body to keep in Bang Lamung hospital.
