Luxury House Set On Fire Due To A Cigarette In Pattaya

A British man disguarded a cigarette on his bed as he was arguing with his wife which later caused the house to catch fire.

PATTAYA- January 5,2015 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 07.30 am Pol.Lt.Nakornrat Nonsirat-inspector of Pattaya police station- were notified that a house was on fire in Soi Kasetsin road. After notification the police officers and firemen rushed to the scene.

 

At the scene smoke was bellowing out from the luxury house, officials extinguished the fire. Upon inspecting, the bed and bedroom had been damaged as well as a plastic bed which had caught fire near the swimming pool. The house owners were four foreigners who were drunk.

On 4 January at 22.00 pm the neighbor heard that a couple was arguing loudly during the night. In the morning, they could smell burning so they went to inspect and found out that there was smoke coming from the house so they immediately notified officials.

 

Upon inspecting MR.STEVEN LEONARD BREWSTER aged 49 from England and MISS.LOUISE MARIE MORRISON aged 43, the house owners, were accompanied with their son and daughter-in-law. MR.STEVEN revealed that he put down the cigarette in the bed room and that he was arguing with his wife on the first floor. He only realised when the villagers told him that his house was on fire. He told his son to move the bed to the swimming pool.

 

Initially the police officers took MR.STEVEN to question at police station in order to find out the cause of fire, he may be prosecuted according to Thai law.​
