LOEI kids enjoy their sea windsurfing

Since the Loei Provinces are in north Thailand they have no ocean frontage, so it is promoted as the Sea of Mountains, and children who go windsurfing have to do so on rivers or small lakes.

What a big event it was for children from every area of Loei to participate in wind surfing races on Pattaya?s Jomtiem Beach for a whole weekend. Even more surprising was the fact that most of these children had never even seen the ocean or sea water before, so it must have been the thrill of a lifetime for them.

The event was organised by the Commander of the Loei Provincial Police, Police Major General Attagrit Tharechat and his officers, with Pattaya City giving it very strong support. ?Mr. Sweet-Eye? from Pattaya City Hall was a very entertaining M/c and kept the kids amused for hours with a big variety of beach games, including a ?Tug-O-War? contest. Around 140 children participated from the nineteen Provinces, and Loei region lies very close to the Laos border
