Large Snake Found In Pacific Park Village North Pattaya

On Thursday an electrical contractor reported to Pattaya Relief Officers that he had found a large Boa Constrictor snake trapped in a small well inside Pacific Park Village, North Pattaya.

Pattaya, the 25th of February 2010 [Pattaya Daily News]: The Boa Constrictor measuring approximately 4 meters in length and over 20kg in weight had been found stuck in a small well by an unnamed electrical contractor who reported the incident to a passing Pattaya municipal officer. The pair attempted to rescue the snake but were ultimately unsuccessful, subsequently contacting the Sawang Boriboon Foundation for assistance.

A specialist animal rescue member from the Sawang Boriboon Foundation and a Fire truck from the Pattaya Fire Department arrived at the scene to assist in capturing the trapped animal in order to release it back into the wild.

Trapped within a 4 meter deep hole, filled with rubbish and water, firemen filled the well with water allowing the snake to escape. The process took rescuers over an hour at which point the snake was capture. Animal Rescue will now release the Boa back into the wild away from the residential community.
