Large Gambling den Raided by Police in Pattaya

Banglamung sheriff mobilized forces of Huay Yai police and the administrative officers of Amphur Banglamung to raid an arrest over 100 gamblers in a large house in Huay Hai.

PATTAYA – May 27, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 2.00 a.m.; Mr. Sakchai Taenghor (Banglamung sheriff, Chonburi province), Mr. Phongthasit Pijjanan (Deputy District Chief of Administrative Division), Mr. Jakkrit Buranakittiphinyo (Deputy District Chief of Stability Division), Pol.Col. Kamphon Leelapraporn (Superintendent of Huay Yai police station) and the administrative officers of Amphur Banglamung, Chonburi provincial detective team , together arrested a big spinning dice gambling den at the house no. 23/10 Moo 7 Tambon Huay Yai, Amphur Banglamung, Chonburi province.
 
At the scene a luxury 2-storey house in 19 rai of land which had been fenced and had lots of CCTVS in various positions the police surrounded the house and closed off the entrance so nobody could get in or out. Once inside the officers found male and female gamblers playing cards and there were also male and female serving staff who serviced the gamblers with drinks and refreshments. Also there was a traditional Thai massage service.

The officers detained all the gamblers and staff that consisted of 50 male and female gamblers and 50 male and female staff. Mr Suchart Anuchot, aged 49, was the host and the house owner. The officers also seized over 100 items of gambling equipment such as big stone mortars, dice, cards, etc. 40,000 THB and over 10 CCTVs.
 
Mr. Sakchai Taenghor (Banglamung sheriff) revealed that previously he had received a complaint from local people that there was a big gambling den in the area so he planned to send the undercover agents to find out more information until they found the house that was being used and moved in to arrest all concerned with the help of Huay Yai police station.
