Korat Business Woman Brutally Murdered at Cambodia Casino Hotel

"Jeh Hongyok" a well known transport business owner, money lender and millionaire from Nakornratchasima was murdered in a casino hotel room in Cambodia. The murderer stole 3 million THB; the victims winnings from the casino.

Cambodia, October 16, 2011- Cambodian Police co-ordinated with the Thai police to send the corpse of Mrs.Chanatda or “Jeh Hongyok” Kasettheerakul age 47, the owner of a fleet of vans and money lender. Address: 234 Moo 15 Tambon Choomphuang, Amphur Choomphuang, Nakornratchasima province to Surin Center Hospital.

Mrs.Chanatda was murdered in the bathroom of the Royal Hill Resort Hotel & Casino in Cambodia opposite of Chong Jom-Orsamet Tambon Daan, Surin province. The murder took place in the evening of Saturday (October 15, 2011)

The corpse of Mrs.Chanatda was discovered with tied hands and legs and had been hit on the head was hit by a hard object and there were many stab wounds on the victims neck. The murderer had also put a plastic bag on the victims head. Upon investigation the police found that the deceased had more than 3 million THB in cash from gambling at the casino. There was no trace of the cash in the hotel room. The police assumes the motive for the killing was money.

Pol. Col. Nitis Pititheerachot, Superintendent Kaab Cherng, co-ordinated with Cambodian police at Orsamed, Amphur Krungsamrong, Udornmeechai province, Cambodia to record all evidence and proceed with the investigation in order to arrest the murderer.

Mrs. Chanatda, the owner of rental van business with more than ten vehicles. These vans are chartered to send and pick-up the Thai gamblers from Nakornratchasima to the casino in Cambodia, Chong Jom border. Mrs Chanatda was also known as a loanshark, always wearing a big golden necklace. The police assumes that a gambler followed her up to her room killed her and stole her money.
