Hello editorial office of Pattaya Daily News,

By this message I complain one of the police forces in Pattaya. We, and a lot of Internet shop-owners in Pattya, my Thai girlfriend and me included, are very angry about the corruption practices of one of the police forces in Pattaya.

There are a lot of small Internet shop owners in Pattaya, including my Thai girlfriend and me, who have big problems with corruption of the police.

We have a small Internet shop, with even smaller incoming money. We are very hard working people; we make long hours, to make something of our Internet shop. Most of the months of the year, the incoming money is not enough to pay all the costs for rent, water, electric, telephone lines and Internet provider.

Even when a lot of small Internet shop owners in Pattaya have small income, the police is making big problems with their corruption practices.

The last time we had problems with the police was 12 June, we had to close our shop for a few days, because there were police actions in the streets at several Internet shops.

So we had no income for a few days, while it is so hard already, to get some more money come in, and then there is going out for the costs. But close our shop, before the police could come in, was a better option, then lose a lot of money on the police.

And now the high season is coming up in the coming period we (all the internet shop owners) are very concerned about what is going to happen in the next period, when the Internet shops will be more visited by tourists. We are worried so much about what kind of terror the police will bring again in the new tourist season.

Please, can you make it stop, can you make an end of this dirty corruption practices??? Please, we are desperate; we are so tired from trying to avoid this police actions.

I will give you an example how one of the police forces in Pattaya is setting up this corruption practices:

The police sends somebody inside the internet shops first, to put bad things into the computer, illegal music and nude pictures. (Those people, a civilian we think, get maybe some small money from the police)

And when the person is finished, he or she gives a sign to the police and then the police is coming into the shop and take all computers with them to the police station, they delete the illegal things in the computers.

And if the Internet shop-owner wants the computers back, then the owner has to pay 20.000 Baht per computer, that is the way one of the police forces in Pattaya is playing this very dirty game.

Please, can you investigate this very big problem, and please publish this story, if you have found some of these dirty practices of the police.

And make an end of these dirty practices of one of the police forces in Pattaya.

Please, help us, because that will help all the small internet shop-owners and they will be all very grateful to you.

I will send this story to different newspapers, please can u make it sure that the story can be published?

And if you will publish the story, please can u send a copy of that story to this e-mail address???

Please will you at least keep me inform (please let me know how it goes with this case) of the investigations?

Friendly regards,
