Illegal Loan Gang Caught In Pattaya

Police and Navy officers raided 2 houses after they received a complaint from a woman saying she had loaned money from a gang and had paid them back but they threatened to kill her if she doesn’t keep paying.

PATTAYA – July 8, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News];- at 18.00 pm Mr.Sakchai Tang-Ho-chief district of Bang Lamung-, Mr.Pongsit Pijanan-deputy chief district-, Mr.Prapan Pratumchompoo-deputy chief district-, had led a team of navy and administrative officers to inspect 2 houses in Greenview village, Bang Lamung under martial law. After they had investigated that an illegal loaner was operating from there.


Upon inspecting the officers found 5 men in the 2 houses therefore the officers arrested them before inspecting the house. Upon inspection they found loan documents, customer account and name cards which contained the name of “Sai Fon Capital” and “Opal Capital”. Plus they had confiscated a Honda Accord, 17 motorcycles and properties such as necklaces, watches, ornaments which were valued at about 1 million baht.

Mr Sakchai revealed that previously he received a complaint from the villager that she had loaned 870,000 baht from this gang and they had collected 20% interest per day. She had paid back more than 2 million baht and had no more money but the gang threatened to kill her if she stops paying. Therefore she decided to notify the officers.


After they were notified the police told the victim to tempt the gang to her home by telling them she has some money for them. Later Mr Nu came to the house and the police arrest him. They questioned him and found out that the gang had rented a house in Green view village. The officers then raided the houses under martial law and confiscated their properties.

Upon inspecting the officers found out that the gang was in Chantaburi province so the officers collected all the evidence in order to hunt and arrest the remaining gang members.
