Gold Necklace Snatched In Pattaya

A female tour guide who was on her way to pay a water bill had her gold necklace snatched by a Thai male teenager who followed her. The incident happened on the Siam Country Club Road.

PATTAYA – October 20, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 11.00 a.m., Pol.Lt.Col. Supphachai Phuangthong (Inspector of Nong Prue police station) was notified that there was a snatching incident in front of Ban Rot Fai school, Liab Thang Rot Fai road, Soi Siam Country Club, Amphur Banglamung, Chonburi province, so he rushed to inspect at scene together with patrol officers from (region 3) of Banglamung police station.

 

At an incident the police found Miss Weeraya Kaewmorakot, aged 30, who was a victim, was sitting waiting for the police. She told the police that she was a tour guide and before incident occurred she was riding her motorbike to pay a water bill at the Provincial Waterworks Authority, Pattaya branch, but when she arrived at in Ban Rot Fai intersection there was 1 Thai teenage male riding a navy blue motorbike (she could not remember its model and license number) who was following her. He then rode alongside her and snatched her gold necklace weighing 2 salueng with 1 gold Buddha image before fleeing the scene.

 

Journalists report that in the area of Amphur Banglamung and the surrounding areas there are a lot of gangs who target people wearing gold so people should keep valuable properties out of sight while riding around like mobile phones bags gold etc should be stored under the seat to prevent the crime from recurring.
