Phuket, the 5th of July 2010 [Pattaya Daily News]: The man, thought to be around 35-years-old with brown hair a beard and approximately 180cm tall, is wanted in relation to the murder of Miss Wanphen Pienjai [33] a service girl working at the Sweetheart Bar in Phuket.

Miss Pienjai’s body was found partially decomposed inside a suitcase and dumped along the roadside on the 24th of June 2010. She had suffered multiple stab wounds to the base of her skull and chest whilst her arm had been severely fractured.

Initially, due to the decomposed nature of the body, the woman could not be identified, however having seen the reports on television, colleagues of the deceased positively identified the body as that of Miss Pienjai.

Coworkers of Miss Pienjai explained to police that they last saw her several nights before her body was found. She allegedly left work with a middle-aged bearded foreigner who had arrived via motorbike.

During resultant conversations with the suspect, the girls stated that the man spoke Thai quite well and remarked that he owned a house in Phuket Town. The suspect’s nationality and name are as yet unknown.

Phuket Police have appealed to anyone having knowledge of the case to come forward and make a statement, whilst a Bt50,000 reward has been offered to someone who can provide significant information that results in the arrest of the wanted man.
