Forest Trespassers Busted

Sattahip officials caught 4 suspects for trespassing hill.

SATTAHIP – September 18,2016 [PattayaDailyNews]; at 12.00pm Mr Noraset Sitapatso, chief of Sattahip district, was accompanied with Pol Col Sorod Eiumsa-Ard, chief of NaJomtien police station, CAPT Boonmee Kaewsanga, Mr Somsak Tubklad, leader of Najomtien village, Mr Sanong Supapol, chief of NaJomtien village, and officers to arrest Mr Sunthorn Thongprong aged 52, Mr Panomprai Lachamnan aged 45, Mr Wattana Piyatharo aged 58 and Mr Deepree Aonthonglang aged 56 on charge of trespassing Malakor hill.

Mr Norset revealed that some land owners previously had deed on hill but these deeds were cancelled later because the deeds were issued illegally. However, these people still own the lands even though it is illegal and some sold these lands.

Mr Sunthorn claimed that he had right to own this land but he didn’t have the deed. In addition, he hired backhoe to cut-off the trees in order to clear the area. He jus finished 20% of work before he was arrested. Initially, they would have to be prosecuted on charge of trespassing forest.
