Foreign Man washes up on Jomtien Beach Pattaya

An unidentified foreign male has been found washed up on Jomtien beach. It’s expected that he might of gone swimming to commit suicide.

PATTAYA – June 17, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 09.00 am. Pol.Lt.Col.Anuchet Kadsomboon-investigation inspector of Pattaya police station- was notified that a body of foreigner was found on Jomtien beach opposite Grand Jomtien Palace hotel. After notification the police were accompanied with Sawang Borriboon Thamma Satharn rescue team who rushed to the scene.

 

At the scene they found a body of an unidentified foreign man faced down on the beach. He was black with short hair, approximately 180 cm tall wearing a black tank top and black shorts. There were no signs of foul play on his body. It’s expected that he had been dead for around 3-4 hours.

 

Upon questioning Mr Amnuay Lertthanya a 70 year old beach operator who witnessed the incident he revealed that at 04.00 am while he was cleaning up his store, he saw this man walking alone on the beach before he went swimming. When he entered the sea it was a high tide and the next thing he knew was his body washing up on the beach.

 

Upon inspecting the scene the police expected that he may of drowned due to the heavy sea and may of gone swimming to commit suicide due to some type of stress or personal problem. However the police sent the body to Bang Lamung hospital for an autopsy before they notify his embassy.
